Owned by EZCORP Incorporated, which also owns EZPawn and EZMoney, Cash Max’s business model focuses on short-term, unsecured lending, advertising the loans as a far easier option versus credit cards and bank overdraft problems. The company also markets its loans as a useful emergency cash tool when necessary.
Cash Max takes online applications which can be filled out via computer and then taken in person to a Cash Max office for final loan processing. The applications are also available at the company’s stores. Store locations are entirely in the Ontario province area. The company does not have addresses in other locations.
In terms of legal action, a U.S. version of Cash Max ran into trouble on the U.S. side of the border. Dallas County has sued the company in Texas court for sending deceptive mailings to secure loan business. The county is pursuing damages of $20,000 per alleged illegal mailing. That said, this may be entirely a separate company with a similar name.

To whom it may concern! I am absolutely shocked what terrible greeting I had received from an agent at The Cash Max location St.Clair & Oakwood! Friday/March 21/2014! It was at about 7pm that Firday evening! Instead of working she was communicating & prolonging service! When it came to 7:45pm she wasn't able to serve me cause it was too late! Very rude! I mean why would someone miserable be working If they are unhappy! Don't like your job leave! Unhappy with some people you don't want to serve Leave! Thank you! I hope You Take This Matter Into Some Consideration! Maria Ulloa!

Horrible lender. Lady at the store on Weston Rd is a complete moron. Talked to her on the phone and she said cashmax doesn't have access to my account to withdraw money. What happens? They took the money out of my account the next day.

Never ever again. This company sucks. No respect for customers. They do whatever they want and how they want it. Omg if i I had to write whatever they doing I would write a whole book. Don't ever use cash max ever ever. Out of nowhere they will call u after 2,3 months saying that u owe them money, when u have proof that u paid, now they come up with something else like a small fee that was never ever mention to you, even tho Customer service assured u already that everything is good u owe nothing etc..
Customer service sometimes will not process things like new information provided on file and they will blame u for it. I went to my local store with my new banking info one day and the lady didn't process it. They went to the old bank. Even tho I verify with them that everything is ok. I called because their money was sitting in my new account and they didn't take it. The lady apologised, saying that they have the new info it just wasn't processed. And they said they will waive the fees.Until today they calling me about that fee that was suppose to be waived. When I called telling the lady the first time that there is money they suppose to be taking from my account but that they haven't, she was saying that I owe nothing.I call more than 3 times to make sure. After they realise I owe them money and they called me back. It was paid. But just to say how confused and angry u can be dealing with these people. When they can't explain why they calling you about fees here and there that u need to pay and when u remind them what they say and they cant recall, they simply put u on hold and hang up on you, i experience that 3 times and they never call back.

I do not see why when I use a debit card that is directly to my bank I have wait 30 days to get my title after it clears my bank and you have your money I should be able to get my title aside from that I was not informed of this till after they swiped my card or I simply would have paid cash . There is no where in the contract that says this and I was not informed of it in advance I have used your services several time in the past years but I will no longer look to you shady way of doing business again in fact I should sue just to proof a point

Had a series of loans from Cash Max. Then I got sick didn't get paid and defaulted. I did my best to stay in touch with them and make payments frequently. It wasn't a nice situation, but after I showed them I was keeping in touch and making my commitments I have paid them back, but I'll never use a payday loan again. It seems like a good idea, but it just takes advantage of the week willed and desperate, like me.

I went to the one in London Ontario on wellington and this girl gave me sooo much attitude i asked to speak with a manager and she says she is the manager hahahahaha she looked unprofessional with the way she was dressed anyways i would never go again
